Launch and Recovery by Crane

If you are based at the CCYC or will be sailing to Cowes do not complete this section.

1. Launch and recovery by crane is included for boats arriving by road.

2. Launching will be available on Thursday 18th, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th August. Please indicate your preferred slot

3. Recovery for all boats will be on Friday 26th August.

4. Does your boat have a single point lift and its own lifting strops

If YES please bring strops with you.

Berthing

Berthing for 6 nights, Saturday 20th to Thursday 25th is included in the entry fee. Berthing for extra nights, eg boats competing in the Uffa Fox Regatta must be paid directly to the Marina @ £19.52 per night.

Personal Information

The personal information you provide to the organizing authority will be used to facilitate your participation in the event. If you have agreed to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing and the other rules that govern the event (the rules), the legal basis for processing that personal information is contract. If you are not bound by the rules, the legal basis for processing that personal information is legitimate interest. Your personal information will be stored and used in accordance with the organizing authority’s privacy policy. When required by the rules, personal information may be shared with the RYA, your national authority and/or World Sailing. The results of the event and the outcome of any hearing or appeal may be published.

Media Publicity

Competitors automatically grant FFI, UKFFA and the Organising Authority, and official Race sponsors, without payment, the right in perpetuity to make, use and show any motion pictures, still pictures and live, recorded or filmed television of or relating to the event.

Disclaimer

Rule 3 of the Racing Rules of Sailing states: ‘The responsibility for a boat's decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone.’

Sailing is by its nature an unpredictable sport and therefore inherently involves an element of risk. By taking part in the event, each competitor agrees and acknowledges that:

(a) They are aware of the inherent element of risk involved in the sport and accept responsibility for the exposure of themselves, their crew and their boat to such inherent risk whilst taking part in the event.

(b) They are responsible for the safety of themselves, their crew, their boat and their other property whether afloat or ashore.

(c) They accept responsibility for any injury, damage or loss to the extent caused by their own actions or omissions.

(d) Their boat is in good order, equipped to sail in the event and they are fit to participate.

(e) The provision of a race management team, patrol boats and other officials and volunteers by the event organizer does not relieve them of their own responsibilities.

(f) The provision of patrol boat cover is limited to such assistance, particularly in extreme weather conditions, as can be practically provided in the circumstances.

(g) It is their responsibility to familiarise themselves with any risks specific to this venue or this event drawn to their attention in any rules and information produced for the venue or event and to attend any safety briefing held for the event.

I agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing and all other rules that govern this race. In particular, I confirm that I have read the Notice of Race and accept its provisions and agree that my boat will conform to the requirements set out in the Notice of Race throughout the event.

Before racing I shall ensure that I have adequate insurance for racing risks including Third Party Indemnity of at least £3,000,000 Sterling and declare that such cover will be maintained in full force and effect throughout the duration of this regatta.

I shall ensure that my crew is made aware of the undertakings in this declaration.

I agree to my details being passed to the suppliers of craneage and berthing for FF75 for administrative purposes.
